My first Tri!

I SURVIVED! :)

I had such a blast doing this triathlon!  It was slightly difficult (due to my lack of training...), but I loved it!  It felt like it went faster than it did because it was broken up into three components, something I think I now would prefer-especially to the half-marathon I did almost 2 years ago.  My total time was 1hour 30 minutes and 26 seconds, better than I thought I would do!  It was so much fun and I highly recommend this!  I can't wait till I have the baby and can start training intensely for more triathlons in the future!

Can you tell I'm nervous?  Because I was...
Mandi said she figured who I was because I was this pregnant lady who was bighting her fingers looking nervous.
I did that a lot before the race started...

And she's off! I was second to last in line-primarily because I didn't want anyone kicking my belly.
I'm glad I waited for that reason, but it would have been nicer to finish sooner.

This is my transition area.  It was super crowded, which is awesome!

The bike part was 10 miles-to loops around a course.  This was tiring, but fun.  I loved the downhill parts!
I wass the last biker in the race, but that's okay, we all started at different times, so it doesn't matter!

As I started my 2 mile run, I decided to run the whole thing, and I did!  It felt great!
I actually passed two people, so I didn't finish last...
I was kind of miffed though because the guy who said he would say "so and so you are now a triathlete" decided that he was going to stop doing that before everyone finished the race, so I didn't get to hear it.  At least I know that I am.  I guess that counts right?

I got to me an awesome women-Mandi, aka trainermomma!  She was so nice and waited at the finish line to cheer me on as I passed it.  I was probably a little star-struck!  She wanted a preggo pic of us.  A triathlon organizer made an honorary catagory for the pregnant ladies, and told me I came in second- they were worried about whether we would be okay during the  race.  I was definitely okay!

What a blast I had!  I can't wait till I get to do it again!  You should try it too!
