Finally Here
After a few crazy events, we are here in West Palm Beach, Fl. Thanks be to my Heavenly Father! Two weeks ago I felt as though we would never make it here. We decided to buy a van to make the trip out here ( didn't want to be cramped in the back with the girls the whole time), and we found a great van which seemed perfect for us. Four days after we bought it which was also the day we were planning on leaving, our new-to-us-van broke down. After talking with the dealership the decided to fix it (we luckily had bought a warrentee). But they could not figure out what was wrong, and we needed to be out here for my husband's job, so we gave them a date we needed to leave by, and they couldn't fix the van in time, so they let us drive one of the dealership's vans out here to keep til they can drive ours out. We spent last week finding a place, and by Sunday our things arrived. As of last night we had unpacked everything (it drives me crazy having boxes everywhere). I like our new place, its bigger, and palm trees are EVERYWHERE! We live 20 minutes away from the beach (This so cal girl is basically in heaven, so nice to not be landlocked!). We miss all of our friends in Dallas, and I can't wait till we feel settled here. Thank goodness The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is the same everywhere, which makes finding a church easy, and finding friends easier than it would be otherwise. Moving is hard, really, really hard, but we feel like this is what we are doing right now, so here we are. In the mean time we will enjoy the beach!
And, by some miracle I lost a little weight over the two weeks we were living out of a hotel and eating fast food. Go figure! I'm so happy to have a home where I have my things, and I can cook healthy meals for my family- now if only my 3 year old will eat them. There's a feat!
