Tomorrow! Tomorrow! and Snickerdoodles

Tomorrow, we are finding out what gender the baby is!  YAY!  I'm super excited and super nervous.  We are bringing our daughter because I feel uncomfortable asking someone I barely even know to watch her, more so because I don't want to be a burden on them or anything, so we are bringing her and I am hoping that she gets her nap in before hand. I may wake her up early to make sure of that!  ;)  Maybe we will even bring our portable dvd player and play her favorite movie, with headphones of course, during it.  She sits pretty still that way.  Any suggestions?

Anyhow, we are super excited to see the baby, and the figure out what this little person is!  I wrung in the week by making perfect snickerdoodles last night (sunday is dessert baking day in our house-mostly so the hubby has something for a fun snack to bring to work).  Really, though they were quite tasty.

I've made some changes to the recipe.  Here is the changed recipe:

1/4 cup butter
3/4 cup sugar
1 egg
1/2 tsp vanilla
1/4 tsp baking soda
1/4 tsp cream of tartar
1 1/2 cup white whole wheat flour (I prefer soft whole wheat..)
cinnamon-sugar mixture to roll the cookies in.

Cream butter and sugar really well-about 1-2 minutes
add the egg, and beat for an additional 1-2 minutes- you want it to look creamy and yummy when you are done. Add the rest of the ingredients and mix.  Bake at 350 for 7 minutes.  Yummy yummy in my tummy!

Hope you all have a good Monday!  I'm off for a walk at the lake with the kiddo!  Fun, fun!
