So far, I'm doing good

Its been a busy few days.  I honestly don't know why I was worried that I would be so bored, because I have certainly filled my time.  Thank goodness!  I've set a few goals for myself this week:
  • Record EVERYTHING I eat.
  • No snacking in-between snacks and meals.
  • Practice the piano for at least 30 minutes a day (so glad to get back into it, practicing once a week just doesn't cut it).
  • Read my scriptures and pray each morning before anything else gets done.  I've been told that if I put those two things before everything else in the day, I will find that I can get what I need to get done that day.
  • Write in my journal everyday.  Haven't missed a day since last friday.  I used to keep a journal when I was a teenager, and faithfully wrote each day.  I hope to get better and do that again.  I have noticed a difference in myself since I started writing again.  I look back in my life, and I noticed that the times when I wrote in my journal consistently, I truely was more keen to the spirit, and I was happier.  Its so much easier to recognize your blessings and accomplishments when you write them down.  Its so much easier to accomplish things when you write them down.  I have made sure to write down my goals for the next day in my journal, and I have been better at accomplishing them.
  • I've gotten back into crocheting this week.  I LOVE IT!  One of my goals is to increase my talent of crocheting.  I forgot how fun it was!
These are a few of my goals.  Yesterday I did great at each of them except for the piano.  I made sure and practiced first thing this morning.  Oh, how good it felt!!!!!!  Piano playing is my yoga.  It relaxes me so much!  When I was a child/teenager, I would always go to the piano and play when I was stressed, mad, excited, happy, pretty much everything.  I am so happy to be playing again.  I am happy to have graduated so I can do these things I love!
I have also been spending a lot more time playing with Kinsey.  We are having a blast!!!!!!  Loving life and the time we get to spend together.

I've told you my goals for this week.  What are yours? Make them specific!

I love to crochet. It's the one thing I keep doing. I felt like life was returning to normal after baby #2 when I could pick up the hook again and have time. My piano practicing will have to wait until they go to school. Goals are so fun! Thanks for posting yours.
