Tropical Yogurt Ice
I apologize for not having a picture. When I made this, we did not know where the camera was. It is SOOOOOOO GOOD! I will definitely make it in the future. The recipe is taken from the "Kids fun and healthy cookbook" by Nicola Grimes.
Tropical Yogurt Ice
Ingredients
2 medium ripe mangoes
1-2 medium ripe bananas
2 cups thick plain yogurt
3 tbsp honey
squeeze of lemon juice.
1. Cute each mango into cubes and place in a blender.
2. Place the bananas in the blender. Then add the yogurt, sugar, and lemon juice.
3. Blend until its thick and creamy.
4.a. for ice cream maker: place in the ice cream maker until it reaches desired consistancy.
4.b. Without an ice cream maker: place the mixture into a shallow container. After 2-3 hours, whisk the mixture wit ha fork to break down any ice crystals. Freeze and repeat after 3 hours to give the yogurt ice a creamy texture.
5. To eat remove the ice cream form the freezer 30 minutes before you want to eat it.
