My Weightloss Philosophy
I am not a fitness guru or a nutrition expert but I have lost weight and kept it off before (until my pregnancy of course). The number one thing that helped my lose weight was my support group. I believe that the number one key to success is having a support group, whether it is people who are trying to lose weight as well or just friends and family that are willing to lend support. When I lost weight the first time I had wonderful roommates that were very supportive. I remember those times well. I remember feeling helpless and unable to make this life change. I was not happy with my body. I remember praying to Heavenly Father for help and crying because I was so desperate. I did not want to gain more weight and wanted to stop myself before I was headed down the rode to obesity. I wanted to love my body and to treat it right. With the help of my roommates I was able to do that. I had one roommate, Michelle, who worked out with her sister every morning before their classes started. They were so fit and healthy and I wanted to be like that. She was my primary example that I followed. My other roommates were just supportive of my decision to wake up at the crack of dawn to work out and helped me do that. They gave me comments when I started losing weight and made me feel good.
So, I strongly believe in a support group when one wants to lose weight or just become more healthy. This is why I invite anyone who wants to to join me my weightloss journey and we will lose weight together being the support system that we need.
