Sorry for the lack of blog posting...

I did not lie when I said that last week was going to be a good week... well, parts of it were good...here's what happened:

Okay, so I am going to list the not so good stuff first so I can end on a good note...

We missed one run (bad us!), and felt it on Saturday when we had our big run...

AND

I did not loose a single pound by the time I weighed in on Friday, I actually gained two. Don't know how that happened because I followed my regimine almost perfectly (only missing one run, but lifting weights three days of the week). I did not work out thursday but I counted canning for NINE hours straight as a viable workout (I calculated that I burned 855 cals in 9 hours).

AND

Losing motivation to keep running. It kind of gets boring after running 12 laps around a park track!

Good things that happened:

Reset my mind set towards running. We are going to run every time we are supposed to this week (which is Mon, Tues, Thurs, and Saturday). I will report on Saturday and tell whether I did it or not. I had to remind myself just how good running has been for me so far, and just how far I have come, and how I have accomplished it, remembering Heavenly Father's help in it all.

I did my circuit training 3 days last week. On the fourth day I was supposed to I canned applesauce for the baby (so fun, and so tiring. Well worth it, though!).

Saturday we ran a big run, nine miles. It wasn't our fastest run ever, but we did it. I blame it on not running once during the week. Both of our legs felt like lead. Goes to show ya, you must follow the workout plan for it to work! I felt great afterwards. I realized just how far we have come! This week we are really starting to taper off with our miles, since the race is in less then two weeks (isn't that crazy?)! Time flies.

Saturday night and Sunday morning we had Stake Conference. It was amazing. I asked Heavenly Father to teach me what I must learn as I listened to the talks. Boy, did I learn!!!!! I had such a spiritual feast this weekend. Something I definitely needed.

So, life is good. As this one seemingly impossible goal ending soon (although it now seems quite possible), I need to form a new goal. I won't be finished with losing weight, so I need more little goals to sustain me until I do... oh, and don't worry, I won't be closing this blog once I get to my ultimate goal. In order to stay on track and in order to stay healthy (which being healthy is a lifelong goal) I am going to continue writing for my benefit, and for anyone who needs to see that they can do it because I can do it!

If you have any ideas on fun cardio workouts I can do once I am done with the big race then let me know. I am thinking maybe to start kickboxing... we shall see. I would like any ideas. I kind of want to take a little break from running once we are finished...
