Living a Consecrated Life
On Tuesday I read Elder Christofferson's last conference talk about living a consecrated life-simply because Monday I had little motivation to do much of anything (feeling sorry for myself because after New Years, vacation for Scott was really absolutely over. I feel like we are in limbo because we don't know what we are moving, and I still don't trust where we are moving.), and so I felt I needed to revisit this talk to motivate myself to work a little harder. Its a good talk about how important work is, but how important leisure is as well. It was exactly what I needed to hear/read. Luckily, that motivated me to work a little hard the rest of the week! YAY! Hard work is important, including anything from keeping your house tidy (a daily uphill battle in our house. That toddler is fast!!!), to exercising, to eating well, to accomplishing any goals you might have. The hard work you put in is worth it. I try and remind myself of this every day.
I got better at hard work-maybe now I need to read an article about being patient with your children, because my daughter has really and truly hit the terrible twos stage. Still working on how to handle that...
