I would've never believed this...

Well, as most of you (although most of you is like three people) already know, I was supposed to run 8 miles today. ALL day long I was terribly dreading the run we were going to do this afternoon. I had never run eight miles and I was scared to death of feeling so tired. You know how it is. When ever you have a goal and set out to accomplish it the goal becames intimidating because its a goal. You NEVER done it before. Well, that was what tonight was like. I had NEVER run Eight Miles before. Before we ran Six miles I had ran six miles, granted I ran six miles once like three years ago, but at least I knew I could do it. Tonight was completely different because never had I done a physical activity straight for a little less than two hours until tonight. Yep. That is right. I ran EIGHT MILES tonight. That feels so good to say/type. When I finished I cried because it was just one step closer to my goal. During our run we learned a few things. Number One: Thank Goodness we asked somone to watch Kinsey and we are going to do it from here on out. Number Two: NEVER go without drinking water before a run. We did not do that and suffered during our run. Number Three: Before you even try to accomplish your goal believe that you can do it. During our run there was so many times that I wanted to stop but I did not because I believed I could do it and I wanted to do it. And Number Four: ALWAYs remember Heavenly Father as you strive to accomplish your goals. We actually prayed out loud while we were running (particularly because we were both feeling dehydrated and sick but we needed to finish). Well, we finished and I greatly attribute it to Him. 5 months ago when our baby was born I would have NEVER believed that I could run Eight miles. I would've never believed that I would have done a half-marathon. Well, I ran EIGHT miles tonight and I WILL run a half marathon in November! YES!!!!!!!

That is so awesome! I'm so glad that you have Scott there to help push you....so you can push each other....Jeff and I did cross country together in high school but I doubt I could get him to run with me now. I'm so proud of you...it makes me want to go and do something amazing. Keep it up!
