Bad Timing

So, last night on our run I felt great! We only ran six because the baby was screaming and wanted to be finished so we finished. Well, after our run we got home and as I started to cook dinner my throat started hurting! What gives? I just thought that maybe it would go away and that I was just thinking about it too much. It got worse as the evening progressed and I woke up more than a few times last night (usually a sign that I am getting sick, because I usually sleep through the night), and this morning my throught still really hurts.

Dear cold or what ever you are:

Your timing is horrible! I have to run a race that I have been planning and training for for months and you decide to come and make me sick the week of my race! How dare you! Please leave because I don't have time to deal with your nonesense! I have much work to do and I can't be delayed by your bad presence!

Okay, so I hope this cold really listens to this little note because I do not still want to be sick the day of the race. If I am I will still run, but it would surely be nice if I did not have to run 13.1 miles with a sore throat!

Seriously, though...I'm sorry! Yuck. Horrible timing. I have a great feeling it's gonna be gone, though...I can feel it..... :)
