Gameplan

So, in two days it is gameday. (I like the analogy that trainermomma came up with, so I am going to run with it). I like her strategy where she said that you just have to play the game smart. You can allow yourself to have everything, but in moderation. A little bit of this a little bit of that. Obviously you want to try and have your meal nice and balanced. I volunteered to make mashed sweet potatoes to have that alternative instead of mashed potatoes. So that is good. I think as far as desserts are concerned, I really don't know how many my mother-in-law will have there. Unlike my family, my in-laws are not big dessert people. Or, at least they don't have it often. So, it will be interesting. Whatever there is I am not going to say no, but I am going to moderate. Moderation is key, especially when it comes to Thankgiving. I am going to exercise Thanksgiving morning, and possibly the evening. I am going to workout on Friday and Saturday. I am not missing any of my workouts even though we are going to be on vacation. If I work out and practice moderation on Thanksgiving day I think I will be fine. I just need to practice what I have learned so far and just do it. I am excited to be with family. I just need to remember to control myself. I can still have fun, and eat fun things, just need to moderate. I can do it. I think I can. I think I can.... she says to herself as she worries about the turkey day coming up...
