Hmmmm....
A few things:
1. It is REALLY hard to exercise when parents are here. Luckily my dad likes to exercise because he is keeping me motivated.
2. It is REALLY hard to stay away from yummy treats while we have company... My dad is a sweetaholic (he exercises so he can eat sweets), my husband is also one and has been deprived for a few months so when my family is here he gets excited, and my mommy likes to bake. That is a very bad combination! I am trying really hard to eat little or no treats. I need to put a picture of Jillian Michaels up in my house to remind me of that goal... then maybe I will have an easier time saying no.
3. I have done a little research about the triathlon, and its going to be a little expensive, I think. I don't have a bike. I don't have good swimwear. I don't have good bikewear (helmut, the special shorts, etc). Now, I am not saying this information is going to keep me from doing one because its not. I REALLY do want to do a triathlon I am just going to have to create a budget. Its okay though, because I really need a bike anyway, to increase my options of cardio to more than running. So, until then I will still go running, so that I can be ready for that part of the race. I also need to find a pool during the winter, which is difficult when I live in a small town in the middle of nowhere. But, if I have to drive 45 minutes to one, so be it. Last, but not least, my husband is considering doing this with me. He hasn't told me yes, because he dosen't know how work will be in the next few months, but he is considering it! My dad said, "No way". I don't really blame him.
4. One other problem is that our future is really kind of up in the air right now. The hospital addition that my husband is helping build right now will be complete next week. After that there is going to be renovations that will last till March, but with those renovations they really don't need as big a staff as they have right now. So, we are playing the waiting game right now trying to figure out if they will have us move somewhere this month or not. They kind of wait till the last minute to tell you, which is SO frustrating. So, until then I have wait to sign up for a race. Argh. But, I think I have made my decision. I am going to do a triathlon. When and where is the question.
