Food Rule #60 Treat Treats as Treats
Oh man, this weekend was FUN! But oh man, this weekend I had close to zero control. I usually allow myself to skip the calorie counting on the weekends for the most part to give myself a break, but this weekend I gave myself too much of a break. You see, I kind of got addicted to frozen yogurt and ice cream cones during Christmas vacation. It has been hard to kick the habit. As a spur of the moment thing on Friday my husband and I went to buy ice cream (I frozen yogurt-1 cause its super yummy, and 2 because it doesn't hurt my tummy, and my hubby the normal stuff), and guess what? I finished the entire thing before Sunday was done! AHHHHHHH! Beyond that, I just ate TOO much food this weekend, to the point of feeling sick yesterday night. So, although I had a fun weekend, and although frozen yogurt is tasty, I am saying no the the froyo for a few weeks to gain control of this addiction before it gets worse.
Mondays I always feel good because my control is back and I am just doin good. It feels like on the weekends I am a whole different person. I am considering doing a new thing. Instead of allowing me to go all crazy on the weekends, I think I'm going to follow Michael Pollan's food rule #60 and Treat Treats as Treats by following the S policy: "no snacks, no seconds, no sweets- except on days that begin with the letter S".
I'm going to do it. I will, I will. Who wants to join me?
