Let me tell ya

It feels so good to be putting on clothes that used to not fit that now fit like a glove!!!!!!!! I can't believe that I am so close to my goal weight, well 20 pounds, but I am only ten away from my pre-preggo weight. Anyways, it is nice to be noticing a difference. My waist feels smaller. I can get rid of my fat clothes now, or at least put them aside for next pregnancy, not that I want to gain weight like I did, but I know that after I get pregnant and have the baby, I will need some fat clothes for awhile... No, this is not an announcement. I need to finish my schooling before we have another.

There are some things I am worried about though:

I have headaches constantly. It always is after I eat. That is the problem with changing my diet to things with cheese, and more fats than I am used to having (they are healthy fats, but I used to hardly cook with any). I know it has to do with my digestive system. I have been lactose-intolerant since the beginning of college, and I was diagnosed with Irritable Bowel Syndrome as a freshman in high school. Now, the question is, how can I change my diet so that I don't have symptoms, especially headaches, but still get the right amount of nutrients, and still lose weight. I love cheese and during my pregnancy and for the last few months, it really hasn't bothered me, but in the last month or two headaches and such have increased. I am not quite sure what to do. I am to scared to change my diet, because I am losing weight right now. Any advice would be welcomed. I really thought my lactose-intolerance was getting better as well as my IBS, but I guess pregnancy kind of tricks you and changes your physiology. I guess my body is back to normal now, at least as far as that is concerned.

Another concern that I have has to do with my arms. Last time I lost weight, over 3 years ago, I got down to 120-125 pounds, which was awesome, but my arms were still flabby. I am working out and lifting weights. I can feel the muscle in my arms, I just hope I will have definition once I am done. We shall see.

Well, anyhow. Enough complaining. I feel great, and I am grateful that I am losing weight. I got to say goodbye to twenty more pounds. I hope tomorrow when I weigh myself I will lose something. I know that sometimes when you have a big loss it is harder to lose a good number the next week, so I am just hoping for something. I feel as though I have defended my weight loss of last week pretty well this week with hard workouts. I think I have upped the intensity a bit, so we shall see.

Okay, enough jabbering. Got to go and defend my weight loss!

OK - I don't know about the headaches. That is a doctor question and you just may think of making a visit.

Question for you -- when you got down to 120 did you have muscle, did you lift weights, or were you just skinny? I guarantee you if you lift weights all over, including arms, you will see more muscle tone. Shoulders, biceps, triceps, chest, back, glutes, hamstrings, quads, calves, and abs. That covers it. And, don't be afraid to lift heavier weights than you have in the past. Yes, I know, you don't want to bulk up. You won't. If you can do 12-15 reps with the last 3 reps being very difficult -- THAT'S WHERE YOU NEED TO BE. None of this 5 lbs business. We're talking 10, 12, 15 lbs. I'm serious. This is a mistake most women make. I guarantee you will see some great tone in those arms!

Sorry for the long answer, but you brought up some great concerns!
