I guess its that time...
Happy New Years Everyone!
Well, this week I have lost about a half a pound. Not bad after eating the crap that lies around this house! 141.5! Ya dude! If I, who is a die-hard sweet lover, can lose weight during the Christmas/New Years season, then you can too... Before I go of listing some New Years resolutions, which I do need to do but have not thought about it much, I will list my accomplishments for this year.
Completion of 2009 goals:
1. At the beginning of the year I was pregnant. I decided that once I had K I would work hard to lose the weight that I had gained. Well, it took me a long time to start (she was four months when I had my aha moment and really started working hard), but at least I did it! Since August I have lost more than half of my goal pounds I wanted to lose! I mean, what an accomplishment, right? So, operation weight-loss has been a success, and is still being a success!
2. Become more healthy. Obvioulsy, the title of my blog says it all. My main goal was to be healthy. Man, have I certainly become more healthy this year! I look back and what I ate while I was pregnant and I just get sick. I really have changed my diet. I eat more veggies and fruits. I definitely eat more whole wheat. Once I started making whole wheat bread I have not wanted to go back. Most of our meals are homemade. It just gives me comfort knowing exactly what goes into our meals. Hardly any preservatives, or anything (which has been hard to stay away from since I have been on vacation) unhealthy. It has been easier because I have a husband who has been so supportive of me. So, To Be More Healthy: Check!
3. Exercise: Boy, have I become better at that! I exercise 5-6 times a week, for around 45 minutes each time! Boy, do I think that goal has been accomplished!
4. Complete a half-marathon. Ya baby! I certainly did do that! I have the shirt to prove it! Haha! Wow, it feels so good to say I can do a half-marathon. Certainly if I could accomplish that 7.5 months after I had a baby, I can do anything any time in my life. Doing a half-marathon really did prove to me that I could do anything that I plan, and set my mind to.
Side note: Okay, I did not realize that this would be theraputic. Before you write down your 2010 goals (maybe call it goals because resolution seems to have a negative-never-going-to-happen connotation to it), write down what you have done. You will fill so much better about yourself! I feel like I have done so much! So, now, onto brainstorming for New Year Goals for 2010. I will post my goals by tonight, well this afternoon. We are going to a lakers game tonight! Woohoo!
