cool quote, great day, great weekend, great goal

I was watching "Akeelah and the Bee" this morning and I LOVE, LOVE, LOVED the quote that I put above about fear. I think I am goign to read it everytime I feel like I can't do something, which is quite often. love it.

I had a great weekend. I was good with my calories. On Saturday I worked out pretty hard. According to my little heart-rate monitor, I burned around 707 calories in 45 minutes. I stayed at 85% my maximum heart rate most of the last half of the workout! Ya dude! IT WAS AWESOME! I sweated (sp?) so much! I felt good. We also finished unpacking and organizing the house, which is also another great accomplishment!

Today has been a good day. I finished the homework I wanted to even though K woke up only a half-hour nap this afternoon (unfortunately I think she is starting to shift to the only 1 nap a day thing. Not cool, but she is so cute, I can't be mad at her! I worked out hard this morning. Each day I am noticing more and more and loving more and more the changes that are happening to my body. Working out works! I feel so good! And, I look good! When I took K to the park the other day we walked (we live right down the street from one!), and I got whistled at. Now, I always hate being whistled at, I just feel dirty after it and gross, but a little tiny bit of me was like, okay, I guess I do look good. Maybe my husband is right, and my body is not just an illusion. So, even thoug h don't like cat-calling, it opened my eyes a little bit into the reality of what I have done for myself and my family. I am so close!

A new goal: My new goal is to lose around 4-6 pounds by Feb 19th. Why you ask? Because my inlaws will be here that week, and its just a good time frame. So, that would be around 2 pounds a week, but I won't hate it if its more! I am only eating to lose 2 pounds a week, and working out however much I have time for (which I only do about 45-60 minutes a day). Okay, I am goign to go and reach the quote again as I consider how hard I must work I must do to reac that goal. Don't fear me! Don't fear what I can do! Okay, I can do it, I hope!
