Thank goodness for Mondays (or tuesday in this case)
Don't get me wrong, I love myself a good weekend, full of fun, I even welcome it. But there is something that comes with weekends that always happens, and its a little frustrating every time. My control for eating goes a little bit out of control. I don't write down what I eat. I bake cookies and other yummy goodness. I eat cookies and other yummy goodness, often times in excess. It is really good times. Weekends are the times when I can kind of break from the norm, do something fun, and not worry about weightloss as much (although I still do worry about eating healthily, but in my book there is such things ans healthIER cookies and healthIER brownies and healthIER muffins, etc). Weekends are my relief.
But then, there is just something about getting back in a routine-the little girly gets on her nap routine again (unless she decides to throw me a curve ball or two), and her mommy is more strict at writing down what she eats and how many calories she consumes. Mondays are just great for getting back on routine. Then by Friday, I think Thank Goodness its Friday.
Kind of a fun cycle my weeks are on. It is really fun to have a break (especially when the hubby comes along), and be a little bit more lax, but it is just as nice to have some self-control as well, and self-control is best when I write things down, and eat on a schedule. That is why I thank the heavens for Monday.
In one week I have a trip to my hometown in CA, and I can't wait! I always get worried when I travel, and I don't have as much control as to what is available to eat, or what is offered. It is harder to count calories, and it is harder to eat sensibly when others aren't, but I am going to come up with a game plan. I will be gone for approximately two weeks, and those two weeks are going to be filled with temtations galore. As I think of a game plan for the 2 weeks I am gone, I will let you know how it goes... Thank goodness for time to spend with family, and hopefully I will spend that time wisely, especially in the eating department...
