Whew, passed that test! and Trainermomma

Yesterday I had a baking day.  I needed to make muffins for the hubby for breakfast this week.  Then its tradition for me to make gingerbread men for his coworkers every Christmas.  The recipe he likes is super tasty, but not healthy, but its once a year, so I appease him.  I may change it next year, though.  I asked him if I found a healthier recipe, could I use it instead?  He said, that if it tasted as good I could, so I am on the hunt.  If you have any gingerbread men recipes that are healthier, let me know please!  Anyhow, so I made those yesterday, and I sampled a crumb to make sure they were right.  Thats it, a crumb.  To not feel completely left out, I made Gingerbread muffins from trainermomma.com (its under recipes, under the title of bread and breakfast, I think).  These muffins are super tasty, they only have 1 tbs of sugar in them (the rest of the sweet comes from applesauce and molasses), and they are 79 calories a pop, and for the minis they are only 24 cals a pop.  So, I got my gingerbread fix without all the added calories.  YAY!  My daughter downed a ton of them yesterday.  The minis are perfect for her size.

I really have to give a shoutout to trainermomma though.  She posts recipes multiple times a week.  Her recipes are super healthy.  She posts the calories for most of the recipes.  She is a personal trainer, so its easy to trust her.  I probably cook one of the recipes off of her site 2-5 times a week.  Seriously. They are delish.  Tonight I am trying her Mexican Rice Casserole.  It fills a 9x13 pan and is only 222 calories per serving, and is 12 servings.  SCORE!  Plus a few cups of veggies.  WHAT A MEAL!  I am super excited.  I will take pictures and let you know how it goes.

Seriously though, trainermomma is awesome!  Its has a wealth of information, whether you are trying to loose weight, maintain it, or just trying to be healthy, during pregnancy or not.  Its specifically geared towards women, and she answers your questions if you have them.  I follow her website everyday.  Anyhow, its just a good site.  Her information and tips has helped me in my goals, and I am sure she can do the same for you.

Hope you have a good day!  Happy goal creating, goal setting, and goal achieving today!  WE CAN DO IT!

I agree about Trainer Momma. Glad you are happily baking! I just baked some not so healthy bars to take to church. I will NOT eat more than one tonight for dessert!
