Happy Mother's day!
When I was a little girl my biggest dream was to be a mommy. I wanted to be like my mom. I wanted to hug my babies, and kiss them, and love them. I have always just wanted to be a mom. Now I am! My biggest dream came true last year, and I couldn't be happier. Although being a mom is more than hugging and kissing and loving and cuddling my babies- like changing stinky diapers, CONSTANT messes, crying in the middle of the isle at walmart (both of us, her because she doesn't get what she wants, me because she won't stop crying), and so many other un-glorious aspects of motherhood, being a mom is wonderful! All of the "un-glorious" (is that even a word?) aspects of motherhood is worth it, because at the end of the day we get to have those hugs and kisses and that love that motherhood brings.
So, forget all of the, "why did my husband not read my mind and do the dishes how I like them done?"-something that goes through my mind more often than not- and the yucky diapers we might have to change, or the shoes and messes we have to clean up because our kids "forgot" to do it before they went to bed, and remember that motherhood is SO WORTH IT!
I hope you all have a grand mother's day tomorrow! Give your kiddo's all of the hugs they will take tomorrow and remember that motherhood is the most important "job" ANY woman can have!
P.S. I am so proud of myself! I did not workout this morning-that is not what I am proud of... We had friends over, and because I have come to have the reputation of a good baker, it was suggested to make cookies, so of course I did. I made them, and I ate them. Weekends I have a little less control, I let myself have sweets on the weekend, as a treat for being really good during the week (but, they are still better kind of sweets-low fat and all that). Anywho, my tummy felt kind of gross afterwards- dumb IBS!- so I decided to work out! So glad I did that! My tummy feels somewhat better, and I worked out today. SWEET!
