Options and cooking
In the morning and late afternoon, FitTV airs exercise workouts with different trainers. This is what I have been doing the last two days-the all star workouts. It is an hour-long workout with commercials (I did weightlifting and cardio in-between), and they are different everyday. Yesterday I did a hip-hop routine- and it reinforced how bad of a dancer I am (really, you didn't want to see me. It was scary), and today I did a workout on my exercise ball. Both were pretty good workouts. It was nice to do different workouts than my same old same old, and I think my body has gotten used to the workouts I have been doing. There are other programs besides the all-star workouts, I just like the all-star workouts because they are longer, and they are different everyday. If you want to try yoga, there is yoga workouts, or different cardio workouts. There is even belly-dancing workouts (I don't know if that is quite my cup of tea, we will see if I am brave enough to try that one). It is fun to have so many options and it is even better that they are free. So, I would check to see if you have FitTV and if you do, try some of their workouts. It is awesome! They also have some good cooking shows on that channel, not that I watch them all the time. Why would I watch cooking shows? I'm just saying s'all.
So, last night I got a call and was asked by one of my dear friends if I could teach the young women in our ward to cook/bake something tonight. I AM SO EXCITED!!!!! It will be a blast! You know how much I love baking, and the best way to do that is to get others involved. I am even going to do a healthy-ish recipe. I figured that baking would be better than cooking (it is more my forte anyway) so I am going to teach them how to make the Chocolate Gingersnaps that I absolutely love!!!!! They are probably my favorite cookie EVER, and it is especially good that they are a little healthier than they could be. It will be nice to give the girls a healthy option. Did I mention how excited I am? It is fun that she thought I am good enough to teach about it. Yay!
