Fighting Childhood obesity

I am not a huge fan of the current administration right now, but they are doing something right- Michelle Obama as well as the Obesity task force in the government have put an Action Plan to lower childhood obesity in America.  This is such an important issue.  The health of our children is in our hands.  We chose what is available to our children to eat.  Lets help this plan move along by making sure our children are educated about health-both healthy eating and physical education. It is so imperative to their future as well as ours.  Here is the link about the plan:http://www.whitehouse.gov/the-press-office/childhood-obesity-task-force-unveils-action-plan-solving-problem-childhood-obesity-

At Zoie's last check up she weighed in the 5% for her age. So, the doctor made a mention that I might want to add more fatty foods to her diet. Like butter, sour cream, and ice cream. Umm...she's 9 mos old. The doctor said it more like she had to say it rather then she really believed it. So, I'm not really concerned but I thought it was funny.

ya, that sounds a little fishy. I mean, those foods are not bad per se-except I would not give her ice cream. Why not try higher fat yogurt or something instead? That sounds better to me than butter, sour cream, or ice cream. That's funny.
