I love circuit training
This is why I love it:
I can get a really good workout in an hour
My heartrate goes up enough.
I sweat a lot
I can increase the weights I use.
and for my weight, I burn around 600-650 calories an hour doing it. Many of the dvds are that long. Wahoo! It feels great too, because I do heavier weights than they recommend. My heartrate monitor said that I burned 700 calories in 56 minutes. I don't know how accurate it is, it may be pretty accurate, because it takes my heartrate instead of an estimite. So, maybe I really did burn 700 calories. That would mean, that if I follow the trainermomma and add the calories of my workout to my daily calorie budget, I can still lose weight. I don't necessarily follow this, but maybe I should start trying it. More food is always great, right? So, my daily calorie budget is around 1200 calories. I eat in between that and 1300 everday. If I add 700 calories to 1200, that means that I can eat 1900 calories. Hmmmm.... We shall see. I probably won't eat that much but maybe I will up my intake to 1400 today. I don't know. It works for the trainermomma, so I should try it. I always feel guilty when I eat that much. I like having it at 1200 calories because if I do have an extra snack in the evening before bed its not so bad, I will just have 1400 cals for the day instead of 1200. Anyhow,
