Jump Rope Revisited
Today I pulled out my jump rope. I wanted to extend my workout from just doing the fourty minute cardio dvd (added light weights to some of it, and burned around 500 calories). Jumping Rope brings your heart rate up in a quick amount of time. It is wonderful! I burned around 250 calories in 20 minutes doing it. I did 5 reps of 100 taking a few minute break in between. It was wonderful!
Jump rope is definitely an inexpensive way to workout, and it offers a nice change to your normal workout routine. It was fun too! I love working out because it gives me such a high! Who needs all of that extra food, or all of those other ways that people look to be happy. I got exercise.
Its amazing how many benefits exercise offers. I feel so much better. My body can do things I never thought possible. I don't get tired doing things in ormally do. I don't have to carry that extra weight around. My husband picked me up the other day (carry of the threshold style) and told me that I was so light! That hasn't happened in awhile. I feel fantastic! Exercise also helps combat potential illnesses. Jump rope is definitely an option.
So, the charge that I give to you today is to go do something active, even if its for 15 minutes. Its better than nothing! Go for a walk with your kids. It will feel awesome!
