I said no!!!!

On Sunday I made these really yummy cookies out of a new cookbook of mine. They are Chocolate Gingersnaps. YUM!!!!! They are sixty-nine calories a pop. That's what I am talking about! Well, I had a few on Monday, and then I told the hubby to take them to work. I really wanted more, but I knew it would probably hinder my weight loss this week, even when I counted them in my calories, there is just something more healthy to eat. I saved just one to have yesterday. All throughout the day it was sitting on that counter, but every time I had a meal, or one of my snacks, I wanted something more filling. So, I kept on turning the cookie down, even though it was really calling my name. Last night for dinner, I had Subway (one of the only fast food places we go to. They have the calorie counts of a few of the sandwiches right there! Its awesome!). Then I wanted something sweet, and I had bought mandarines earlier that day, so i had one, and I promptly gave my cookie to Scott before I changed my mind. Ya dude!!!!! I am so proud of myself. I really wanted that cookie, but I chose a dessert that was less calories, and healthier. One battle down, a whole lifetime of battles to go! That surely gave me courage and strength to face the rest! I am afraid I will always love dessertsm but at least I am trying to have healthier versions, right? Saying No is the first step, and I did it!
